Porsche is famous for its extensive list of additional options when buying a new car, but how about a matching Speedboat to go with your new, fully electric Macan?

The iconic, German sports car brand is teaming up with Austrian luxury watercraft builder Frauscher Shipyard to produce a fully electric speedboat designed to partner the brand new electric Macan models! Known as the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air, the new speedboat clocks in at 8.67 metres, holds up to 9 people, and is powered by components from Porsche's Premium Platform Electric (PEP) which will be featured heavily on the new Macan EV.

This streamlined sidepiece features high-voltage 100kWh lithium-ion battery packs, the latest generation permanently excited synchronous electric motor (PSM) and the same charging architecture that allows Porsche's electric road cars to be rapidly charged, meaning you won't be waiting days for your speedboat to charge!

The maximum power is tipped to be approximately 400kW, which is capable of propelling the 850 Fantom Air to a max speed of approximately 46 knots, which is equivalent to around 85km/h or 52mph on land, pretty impressive!

As with any EV, range is an issue. The 850 can only manage a reported 28 miles before having to head back to land to charge. However, the disappointing range is made less critical by the 800 volt charging technology, which reportedly allows the 850 Fantom Air to go from a 10 per cent state of charge (SoC) to 80 per cent in well under 30 minutes with the right DC fast-charging station.

There is currently no word on Price for the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air, however the model is reportedly being limited to 25 units, so you can bet your bottom dollar they're not going to be cheap!
