Porsche of the Week series - 2 minute read
Welcome back to our little series where every week we take a look at a different model or car from the weird and wonderful history of Porsche. This week we're focusing on a car that is straight out of a time capsule! Whilst in the real world it is 11 years old, it might as well be 6 months old and that is this absolutely beautiful, Guards Red 997 Turbo S, currently for sale at Hexagon Classics in the UK.

Sporting just 1,850 miles (yes, you did read that correctly), this 997 Turbo S is presented in the ever popular Guards Red, which is becoming increasingly rare to find on a 997, especially a Turbo S. The alloys are finished in silver, which contrast so nicely with the Guards Red paintwork, it almost gives an early 90's 964 vibe. We absolutely love that!

The car features Porsche's all conquering PDK transmission, as well as Ceramic Brakes, which come as standard on a Turbo S, we've also got a slightly controversial Sand Beige Leather interior. Inevitably, Interior colours are always a cause for controversy. Some people say black is best, some say anything but black, and while we do tend to a prefer a unique interior, this Sand Beige option is sure to split opinions.

However, if you thought the interior colour was a bit controversial, get ready for the price tag! This 2013 997 Turbo S is currently for sale at Hexagon Classics for a whopping £139,995! Given that you can get a low mileage 997 Turbo S from anywhere between £75,000 and £85,000, and by low mileage we mean between 20,000 and 30,000, that means this Guards Red Turbo S will cost you about 60k more than a 30,000 mile example. Which poses the question, is this car really worth just shy of £140,000 in 2023? We're not so sure.

Without doubt this car is special, the colour alone means it stands above the large majority of this generation Turbo S available today, that's before you get to the almost ludicrous mileage. But is all that really worth the astronomical price? We'll let you decide on that one.
We'll certainly keep an eye out for this beauty, and hopefully a potential buyer will put that breath-taking Mezger Engine to good use. After all, just look at it; that is a car that is just desperate to eat a BMW for breakfast!
We hope all our fellow Porsche Fanatics have had a great week! Be sure to check out our Instagram @WerkOneOriginals and check back in next week for another Porsche of the Week!
